Computer Pictures by Blackhall Designs
We create pictures on the computer!
Roger Yeates uses the computer as a drawing instrument, using tools supplied with software packages such as Photoshop.
This picture of fish was produced by drawing with a stylus on a graphics tablet. A initial sketch was produced as fed through "stained glass" and "craquelure" filters; this produced the background. The fish was drawn freehand with the stylus on another layer, and the background copied into the body of the fish. The fish bodies were then smeared to produce the illusion of semi-transparency.
This picture and the one that follows are autobiographical in subject, representing some of the cultural influences on my life. This includes a picture of me aged about eighteen, playing the guitar at the Hammersmith Odeon!
