We paint pictures in the traditional style!

For many years, Roger Yeates has been painting traditional scenes in a range of media, particuarly watercolour and acrylic paints, but also gouache, pastel and pen and pencil. He has a particular interest in miniatures and local landscapes.

This picture of Skaigh Lane, Belstone, Dartmoor in the county of Devon was painted as a miniature watercolour some years ago, and was subsequently sold. The image here is an indifferent quality scanned copy of the original.

Luis de Melendez (1716 - 1780) was a Spanish painter of portrait and still life; this is a miniature watercolour copy of the original "Still Life with Oranges and Walnuts", which is in the National Gallery, London.

We also paint pictures in abstract, decorative and other non-representational styles.
